We had a viewing on Flat 3 Rayworth Court in Truro on the 31st of March. I gave my email address, wrote on the paper, because I dont really think I got an email from them confirming the viewing appointment so I gave my email address again. Me and my husband were waiting whole day for the application form, I even rang them that day about the application. Didnt receive any.

Awful letting company. We've been renting for a combined 16 years, never missed a rent payment or had deposit deductioned, yet northwood are by far the worst "company" we've had the pleasure to rent from. Most positive reviews are from landlords they represent, not tenants they let to. Will regularly break contractual clauses, no check-in inventory given, harasses tenants with near monthly inspections. Refused to fix the mold issue at the property and try to charge you for the damage. Tried to keep over half the deposit but when disputed kept less than a quarter. Con artists. House was freshly painted when we moved in and they did the same when we left. Painting over the mold and rising damp in the process. Paint would drip off the walls with amount of damp, mold and water ingress. Avoid letting from them, and if you have to, take lots of photos, document any problems you have with them because you'll need it when you move out. Good luck

Moving to a new county is nerve-wrecking enough, but moving to a new town was incredibly overwhelming. The staff were very kind, and introduced me to a few towns that I felt I could familiarise myself. Also, due to my work commitments, I wasn't always available. They were welcoming to my mum, and we found the perfect rental home for me to settle in. During my stay, if I had any issues they were quick to respond, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. On moving out, Northwood Truro staff made it easy - no complicated papers, no fuss. Highly recommend Northwood Truro if you are new to Cornwall, and need someone to ease you in.

Now we are several months into our new property, I thought it was time to write a quick review about Northwood in Truro. We had been hunting a house to let close to family and were on several agents books. Northwood were very proactive in helping us get a property to suit and Billie phoned us to say she had something suitable within a few days! Normally, having to chase other agents in the past for updates, this was a refreshing and pleasant change!! We went through the application process (as we fell in love with the house after Billie showed us round). It’s all very professionally done in the office and compared to previous agents the whole team were helpful from start to finish. Overall, my wife and I feel comfortable knowing that if anything goes wrong, everything is in place to get resolved very quickly (be it a leaky pipe or a boiler service). So big thank you to you guys and especially Billie for such a warm and friendly customer experience. Hope we are here for a long time. 😀😀😀

We rented a house from Northwood Truro for 3 years and have recently moved out. I do have to mention that there was a point in the beginning in which I found a manager incredibly patronising and arrogant, but my understanding is that he has left. Regardless of this, it doesn’t take away the fact that the day-to-day staff that I have dealt with in my time as a tenant have always been kind, helpful and accommodating. We have always found the online reporting system for any faults in the house to be very efficient, and Northwood passed on the issue to contractors promptly. On the odd occasion the contractors themselves may have been slow or hard to contact, a quick call to the office and the contractors would quickly be in touch as the agency had got on the case straight away. The property inspections every 3 months can be a bit annoying as I know some agencies do it 6-monthly instead, but the staff were always polite and quick in inspections and the feedback allowed us to maintain so much of our deposit when moving out. I had seen family and friends move out of rented houses in the past and have nightmares with agencies charging hundreds of pounds for minor issues, and was advised to be stern from the offset when it came to us checking out. However, there was no need with Northwood as they helped us every step of the way when we were getting ready to move out and we’re extremely fair and prompt with our deposit return. On the whole, regardless of who is or isn’t the office manager, all of the other team members are fantastic!
