John here, this is a nice little local store. Recently moved here with me fellow wife and it’s a nice spot to grab a few bits instead of walking all the way into town. Staff are very helpful especially for an old boy like me haha.

New Spar store as used to be a Premier store until recently. It's quite a small store so not a lot of room, but the staff are always efficient and friendly. Parking outside for a few cars and more parking available in the road. Good for picking up basic groceries, hot pasties and pies and a big plus is that it contains a great little Post Office as well.

Been a local for a while now and honestly, I dread having to go this local shop. Almost every experience I have had has resulted in me leaving unsatisfied. The staff are rude and more often than not… don’t even say hello (let alone thank you), they make out you’re wrong/lying when you purchase something that’s out of date and stand around talking majority of the time. I’m also aware of the shop being tiny, but regardless, - they still have attempted to put a system in place to adhere to the current covid self-distancing rules. But what’s the point in doing so when they don’t move out of your way when you’re only trying to follow THEIR rules??? Not to mention the minimum £3 expense just for using your card within the store… fair enough if it was located in a holiday destination- aimed at tourists, but this is literally our local shop… I have put this review off for quite some time now, but I’m hoping it may give at least one person an insight into what to potentially expect when unfortunately visiting.

I have been a contented customer of this store / post office for years . On Friday 19th June 2020 , I was at the post office section before 17.30 when it normally closes for office work . The young lady refused to serve me even though I was there before 17.30 . It was an abrupt refusal verging on being rude . A lot of training is required for this person when I consider all the wonderful young staff working there over the years .

Amazing little store all the staff are very kind and welcoming, Provides hot food as well as chilled and frozen also have a nice selection of alcohol. And also houses the Post office and is an Amazon drop off point.

Great little shop, I have no idea how they cram so much into such a limited space. As well as a fair selection and prices to rival some of the big chains it's the only place I know where you can get post office stuff after 5.30. Recommended
