I always enjoy going to The Green Room and find the other reviews to be unjustified. Staff are always nice and a review said that they asked too many questions about what preference of coffee, but also would’ve complained if they didn’t ask. Must be a generation thing. To describe them all as kids is just looking for a problem due to them being more youthful. Atmosphere is great. You get a lot of kids but it’s a theatre it’s to be expected. Free WiFi, Black Forest cake is amazing and coffee always top notch.
Only marking it to a four because it’s cashless which I find worrying in today’s world.

Cashless and expensive!
Stopped for a coffee before catching a show.
One piece of cake was up for over ÂŁ5!
After getting over that shock, I ordered 2 coffees, asked for a normal coffee to be asked lots of questions as to if I wanted, americano hot milk, flat something.
I only wanted a basic coffee.
I maybe out of touch with modern terms but surely buying a standard coffee couldn’t be that hard.
The kids on the counter didn’t have a clue.
Ordered a small cake slice for my Mum and it was given to me in a cardboard box. You would think for the prices they charge you could at least have a small plate to eat your food.
If you wanted to take it into the theatre I can understand but wasn’t given the option.
My Mum had given me the cash to pay but no, couldn’t even do that!
There was no way I was buying anything in the interval.
In future, I will bring my own refreshments and would never recommend anyone to patronise the cafe.

Had to first check they were dog friendly before we could go in with our four legged friend as there wasn't a dogs water bowl outside which usually indicates they're dog friendly. Being told they were & that they loved dogs we ordered 2 very nice coffees & sat down. But as we sat and waited,(not very long), for the coffees to be brought over we couldn't resist the lure of the lovely looking cakes too. My hubby had a huge slice of coffee & caramel cake while I went for the small but packed full, orange & lemon cheesecake. Delicious doesn't do it justice! We were in there around 12.30pm on a sunny Wednesday afternoon & while it wasn't busy when we arrived, more customers were appearing as we sat enjoying our refreshments. Only on our way out did we notice the signs about all the summer specials such as salad boxes, toasties & soup with foccacia which we will definitely be trying on a future visit. The place was spotless, staff efficient, helpful & friendly & we didn't think £4 for each latté,(& mine was a caramel latté), was too expensive either.
I would imagine it to be packed and very busy when folk would be mingling to watch the theatre performances but at lunchtime on a Wednesday afteroon in June it was very pleasant. Looking forward to a return visit during this holiday & future ones in Cornwall.

Avoid, just had to endure screaming babies and children for an hour. Why do places allow it, this is not a nursery nor is it kindergarten. Like the coffee hate the noise. Parents, politely asking you think of OTHER PEOPLE.
