Had to take my children in to get trainers yesterday, their feet are growing at an alarming rate! It is a large store and didn’t seem that busy (we have been in there when it is completely packed). We saw four members of staff of which the two youngest appeared to be doing all the work. Chris who helped us with the shoes was an absolute star. Not only was he serving us, but two or three other customers. My son’s shoe size has gone up stupidly which meant Chris had to (eventually) get three different lots of shoes. Awesome service from him and the lad at the till, who seemed to be running around like a mad thing doing lots of jobs at once - I didn’t think to ask his name. Either way, they probably deserve a pay rise!

As usual no staff to help, despite asking (apparently they "weren't on shoes today"). Whatever happened to customer service? So unless it's your size on the peg, the item's on a shelf, or the shoes you want are in your size in a box then go elsewhere. I'll not go again for sure.

Never answer the phone, So you cannot confirm whether they have the item you need in store, so as to prevent a wasted journey. Pretty much a no brainer but this seems to be the way the big stores are playing it. Very poor indeed.

I found what i wanted but just couldn't reach it, finding a member of staff to help was difficult, I walked around the store 2 before finding a helpful chap by the trainer section, he helped with no fuss which was great, lady on tills pleasant and courteous.

On a positive they had a fantastic range of shoes and excellent prices. But today was absolutely understaffed. Waited 20 minutes to try get the only member of staff working on the shop to serve me. Spoke to a bearded member of staff who was sitting by the door and asked if they had a staff shortage who replied to say that there was indeed. That was all he said, no offer of help or apology. So waited another 5 minutes before telling the chap I hope he finds some staff soon. Would recommend people to use their online website if you don't want a awfully long wait in store, as they do have a great online store.

Got what we went for which was good, but good thing I had my maths head on as realised I had paid more than expected, for boys track suit and trainers, before leaving checked receipt, I had been overcharged by £18 pound , as track suit was rang through as separated. Very quickly refunded after returning to counter.

I intended to buy a pair of trainers, after waiting about 15 minutes, i asked a member of staff if anyone was serving, his reply was, "Just wait be patient in a very rude and aggressive manner " So as you can imagine i left and won't be going back. I emailed customer service, Still waiting two days for a response? Disgraceful customer service.

Both my husband and I had a good experience with friendly staff. But the shop was so busy I was unable to use the changing room to try on the clothes I was buying. When trying to return the clothes I had bought I was told I couldn’t get a refund and would have to have a credit note because they had provided changing facilities if you were prepared to wait for them! Turns out they treat their customers as badly as their staff. Well done sports direct another customer lost!

Feel very sorry for the guys in the stores their online customer services are a joke. Placed an order for next day delivery which they charged £6.99 for and it did not arrive. I rang to query this and they did nothing got an attitude from the child hiding behind the phone and no offer of refunding the the delivery charge. If you don't like the quality of what is eventually delivered you have to either pay to return it to them and wait 14 days for a refund or except a credit note in store. And this is why I feel sorry for the store staff as they are the ones that get it in the neck because they are the ones you deal with face to face. Another laughable thing about the delivery service is if you have it delivered to store usually free with most companies this one charges £4.95 for the priviage the same as standard delivery to your door. I thought I would try this company but should have stayed away will not be shopping here again.
