The food and service here is outstanding! A special mention to the desserts! Its refreshing to see an eatery take some care and consideration in to the dessert offering , as well as starters/mains! Not a sticky toffee pud or warm chocolate brownie in sight! Thank goodness! The best dessert selection I’ve seen any where in Cornwall in years! Mains and sides perfect too and the staff make the whole experience that little bit more special. Highly recommend

Lovely meal and great service at The Thomas Daniell. Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal of Beef Brisket and Sirloin Steak. Looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing roast on Mother’s Day! The meat just melted in your mouth, the yorkie puds had shedded meat in them which made them moist yet crunchy, the veg were out of this world perfection! The gravy and spuds 💯. We had a cocktail too and the service was soo organised, professional and friendly. I would give 6 stars if I could! Soo good we are coming back on Easter Sunday. It’s a one hour drive from where we live! 😃. Well done guys. The whole team are smashing it!!!

Been in a number of times since it reopened and had a selection of food and drinks, all fantastic. Food, staff and ambience are second to none. Highly recommend for a meal or just a few drinks!

My wife and I used to visit here often but it was our first visit since the refurbishment and change of ownership. Firstly, we were greeted by Steve who was amazing throughout our visit. The decor is simply stunning. Very contemporary, clean, light and airy. The food was absolutely first class. We both had the ‘ham, eggs and chips’. This is not ordinary ham, eggs and chips. I will not go into details and spoil the surprise. All I’ll say is: order it and you’ll never order ‘ham, egg and chips’ from anywhere else ever again. The bread and butter pudding was genuinely the best I’ve ever had. It was THAT good!! My wife loved their cocktails (hence why I’m writing this review). Please, please visit The Thomas Daniell, you will be met with the most amazing staff/service in a wonderful environment and genuinely enjoy simply outstanding quality food and drinks. First class all the way.

First time here with Mum and brother for Mother’s Day and it was just fabulous. From the warm welcome upon entry to the lovely staff and amazing food, the whole experience was delightful!

Had some clients in the city for a meeting chose the TD lunch wow ! food wine and service was fantastic our clients loved it too and will re visit when next down, certainly the place to go to impress and show off what our City of Truro is all about. well done TD staff

Well very nicely decorated restaurant with amazing service, nothing was to much trouble. Food was amazing. Only down fall it was a Friday evening and it was a little loud.

Neil and the team were welcoming, friendly and professional. Their service was exceptional. The food was outstanding, my wife loved the Steak and Betty Stogs pie. The drinks were great and there was no rush throughout the meal. As visitors from San Francisco, while staying in Truro, we have enjoyed everything about Cornwall and especially this Pub/Restaurant. While commenting on the decor, and design aesthetics, the former Mayor was sitting next to us, and so gave us a brief potted history of the pub, awesome. Alf & Ann, and we will go back before we leave for California.

Excellent range of drinks. The food was great. Good service and friendly staff. The place is spotless and the toilets clean. Difficult to find fault really. Definitely recommended.
