Reviews for LILYS OF TRURO CAFE BY PUNK THAI, TRURO

Nice place, quirky, but boy is it expensive. Their smallest breakfast is £10 for just a few items. Also, a pet hate of mine is if I order a latte I'd like a latte in a latte glass, not a tiny amount of coffee flavoured froth in a small cup at an outrageous cost.

Ate here today's, excellent dog friendly place. Food was good, tea for one was fine, They allowed dogs 🐕 so we were over the moon with everything bar one thing. If you're of an older disposition and frame, avoid the window benches!! You bum may suffer, and they are not deep enough for good comfort!!

Having never been to Truro before and found ourselves ( a group consisting of 3 adults, 2 wire-haired dachshunds and my almost 2 year old ) we spotted this cafe. … What an absolute gem of a place. I don’t often leave reviews however this place is absolutely worth raving about. Food … genuinely awesome, we ordered off the Thai menu and was not disappointed! Service … after ordering we did not wait long for food to be served however when we were served the staff noticed my son was becoming a little restless and without hesitation, grabbed a pot of crayons and gave him some paper. For this i was so grateful. I loved the atmosphere and the decoration within, kind staff, music playing, kind patrons. For anyone considering this place - I would put it at the top of my list and I will be returning. Next time however I will be ordering the pancakes as they look phenomenal!!

Had a chicken satay wrap for lunch. Bit disappointing. Chicken was cold and I expected it to be warm in a wrap. (My fault maybe? Should have asked?) Was served with a few bits of salad and a handful of crisps. Not the best I have had by a long way. Staff were friendly and place was clean. Quite expensive at over £30 for 2 wraps and 2 coffees

The food is amazing. The staff never seem very happy to be there. They just sort of greet you and the rough areas you can sit. I don't fully understand that. Then there can be lags in taking your orders. I think it's good payment is taken before order is processed. Vegetarian options: They have a large variety of fresh vegetarian food. Dietary restrictions: They can adjust food and always check allergies prior Parking: Need to park at either multi story or council car park 5 mins walk away. Kid-friendliness: Okay for children 5+. Not suitable for smaller children

Nice and quirky interior, and bright and lively. However the menu was limited, we had the jacket potato and beans, which was bland unfortunately, the raspberry cheesecake brownie was ok but a very small portion for the price. My flat white was served in a glass(no handle)which was bizarre so had to wait for it to cool down before drinking, maybe they run out of cups!? Overall not good value, so won’t be visiting again which is a shame as we are local to Truro.

It's my favourite cafe to go to in Truro. It's very quirky and brilliant service. We haven't been to Cornwall for a few years, so it was a real treat to order from the punk Thai menu. We had Pad Thai, chicken satay skewers, and the prawns toast. They were delicious. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome 🙏

Quirky, brilliant cafe. My teen is autistic and we struggle finding places to go wat where she will be comfortable yet this ticked all the boxes. The interior was fun. The staff super friendly and helpful and it was a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The inly reason I didn't give 5 stars fir find was tgat although tasty, at the price I would hVe expected more fir my money. But I will definitely visit again just fir the cakes alone...they were epic!

Nice food, drink and atmosphere, but we waited about 20 minutes for our order to be taken, and in that time two groups of people who arrived before us were served. I think this was just an honest mistake but the quick breakfast we wanted turned into an hour because of it. They had a lot of staff on so I am not sure why we weren't served. Nice place but this could do with improving.
